Other Information:

Attorney Odom graduated law school from The University of Alabama School of Law and was born and raised in Meridian, Mississippi, where much of his family still resides. A partner at the law firm of Pepper & Odom, P.C., Chris practices law on almost exclusively on behalf of victims of wrongdoing. Throughout his career, he has successfully tried numerous cases, winning every case that he has taken completely through the trial process. He has also successfully reached thousands of settlements. Chris’s work has truly had a direct and positive impact on so many people’s lives, and continues to help make our communities better and safer for everyone everyday.

Chris Odom co-founded what originally began as a two-lawyer firm, Pepper & Odom, P.C., with his law partner, Everett Pepper. The two have since successfully grown the law firm into multiple locations, including Jackson, Mississippi and Birmingham, Alabama, which employ numerous staff, multiple attorneys and heads of households between both locations. The two lawyers started the firm all by themselves with only their drive and desire, their family’s love, words of encouragement and most importantly, the favor of God. At the time the firm had opened, no one in Chris’s or Everett’s family had ever even been to college. But the two put their minds together, worked extraordinarily hard and the firm became a success. More importantly, the firm’s client’s were a success. Putting the client first has always been one of the firms top priorities, and Chris attributes most of the firm’s success to just that. A large part of Chris’s success is knowing that if you put the people who work with you and your clients first, then you will be first to them when they need a lawyer. Chris prides himself on being committed to his clients and having a relationship with each of them. Today, the firm continues to thrive primarily on these same values, the support of friends, family, clients and even more importantly from the hard work and dedication of the firm’s highly skilled staff and attorneys.

As a trial lawyer, Chris has won multiple awards and nominations as one of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers, National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys as well as the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40.

In addition to being a lawyer, Chris is actively involved in Church, the community and volunteering. Chris is married to Amber Burkett Odom. They live in the Ross Bridge neighborhood of Birmingham, Alabama with their two dogs, Emmy and Bentley. The two sort of ended up in this neighborhood by chance after Chris proposed to her around Christmas time on the side of a horse and carriage at a Resort near the neighborhood, after which the two went for a carriage ride in the neighborhood looking at the holiday lights. They attend Church together at Church of the Highlands.

Attorney Christopher D. Odom won scholarships and graduated with a 4.0 from Mississippi State University’s School of Business, Banking and Finance. While in law school, Chris skyrocketed to the top of his law class in his first year by:

  • Achieving Dean’s List Every Semester;

Attorney Odom has spent a lot of time on lawsuits involving accidents and injuries on offshore oil rigs, accidents on ocean or river boats (vessels), barges (river or otherwise), cruise ship accidents, transportation vessel accidents porting in Mobile, AL, porting in Mississippi, New Orleans, Louisiana or Houston. Because Chris has always had quite a few family members who work offshore on oil rigs and vessels, he has spent a lot of time focusing on the representation of oil field and pipe line workers who travel from one state such as Alabama or Mississippi to another state such as Louisiana to board a vessel or fly out to an oil platform.
