History

During law school, Trial Attorney Chris Odom clerked with a top law firm in New Orleans specializing in both insurance defense and Maritime & Admiralty accident trials primarily against major oil companies in the Federal and State Trial Courts of Louisiana. He also clerked with a law firm in Florida specializing in tractor trailer and motor vehicle accident trials primarily against large insurance companies and corporations in the Federal and State Trial Courts of Florida.

After graduating from law school, he declined job offers at two insurance defense law firms, knowing that those were not the kind of cases or clients that he wanted to represent, nor the environments he wanted to work in. Instead, Chris Odom formed his own law practice with one of his close friends, Everett Pepper, in 2012 where he could take the kind of cases he wanted and handle them his own way.

He immediately grabbed the attention of various peer recognition institutions and gained very much recognition for his courtroom successes by The National Top 100 Trial Lawyers, The National Top 40 under 40 Trial Lawyers, The National Association of Distinguished Counsel, The American Institute of Personal Injury Lawyers Top 10 Best Attorneys for Alabama, The American Society of Legal Advocates Top 40 Litigation Under 40, and more among many others.

More info

Chris Odom is extremely proud to be a lawyer, and emboldened by the fact that it was lawyers, like Thomas Jefferson and others, who created the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, which is still standing strong nearly 250 years later. Lawyers are responsible for the creation of rights such as freedom of the press, due process, equality, and jury trials.

Odom believes it is the responsibility of lawyers in today’s time to continue to tend to the U.S. Constitution to keep it vital and relevant, and to preserve and protect those rights and freedoms we all enjoy. He believes that lawyers are the custodians of the communities’ legal and ethical sense, and that they must set good examples in that regard.

This Birmingham lawyer has a lot of love for jury trials. Something Chris enjoys the most is when he knows he is giving the ordinary person their day in court and he is not going to let any person or corporation take advantage of said person.

Chris Odom knows that our sacred courts and jury trials are truly the only thing standing between you and a world full of malicious and greedy people behind the walls of massive corporations who would abuse and take advantage of people if they know they could get away with it. With a burning passion for representing individuals in jury trials, Chris Odom is meticulous about his trial preparation to be sure he is always on top.
